Radiofrequency Microneedling

Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling combines insulated microneedling technology with radiofrequency energy to improve acne scars, enlarged pores, skin laxity and overall skin texture.

The Philosophy: Controlled Injury,
Intelligent Healing

Healthy skin depends on the integrity of collagen, elastin and the extracellular matrix. Over time, acne inflammation, ageing and environmental stress can disrupt these structural components, leading to:

  • Acne Scarring

  • Enlarged Pores

  • Skin Laxity

  • Uneven Texture

  • Fine Lines

Microneedling RF works by creating controlled microchannels within the skin while simultaneously delivering radiofrequency energy into the dermis. This dual-action approach stimulates the skin’s natural wound healing response and encourages collagen remodelling at multiple depths.

Rather than removing large portions of the skin surface, Microneedling RF focuses on targeted dermal stimulation while preserving much of the epidermal barrier. This allows for effective collagen induction with comparatively shorter downtime.

What Is RF Microneedling

What is RF Microneedling and how is it different from radiofrequency devices

or regular microneedling?

Radiofrequency (RF)

Traditional radiofrequency devices deliver energy from the surface downward.

As energy travels through the skin, a significant portion may dissipate superficially, limiting how effectively deeper structures are treated.

Traditional Microneedling

Traditional microneedling relies mainly on mechanical injury to stimulate collagen.

RF Microneedling

Microneedling RF combines both technologies.

It bypasses the epidermis by physically placing insulated needles directly into the dermis before releasing radiofrequency energy.

This allows:

  • more precise energy delivery

  • deeper dermal heating

  • reduced surface trauma

  • more efficient collagen stimulation

What Can RF Microneedling Treat?

Acne Scars

Acne Scars

Enlarged Pores

Enlarged Pores

Skin laxity

Skin Laxity

Particularly useful for rolling scars, boxcar scars and textural irregularities caused by acne.

May improve pore appearance through collagen tightening around the pilosebaceous unit.

Can support collagen remodelling in areas with mild skin looseness or crepey texture.

Fine lines and wrinkles

uneven skin texture

Uneven Skin Texture

neck and lower face laxity

Neck and Lower Face Laxity

May soften superficial lines through dermal thickening and collagen production.

Supports smoother, more refined skin texture over time.

Can improve mild crepey texture and early skin laxity in delicate treatment areas.

Can RF Microneedling Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Yes. Microneedling RF is often combined with other treatments as part of a comprehensive skin rejuvenation approach.

What to Expect During Your Journey

The Aftercare

02

The Preparation

Topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to improve comfort.

Mild redness, swelling and a sandpaper-like texture may occur for several days after treatment.

Most patients resume normal activities within 1 – 3 days.

Strict sun protection is recommended during recovery.

The Treatment

We begin with a detailed assessment of your skin concerns, scar types, skin sensitivity and treatment goals to determine suitability for Microneedling RF.

The handpiece is moved systematically across the skin while insulated needles deliver radiofrequency energy at selected depths.

Collagen remodelling develops gradually over time. While some patients notice early skin smoothness, more significant improvements in texture and scarring generally continue over several months.

A series of treatments is typically recommended for cumulative improvement.
