Sagging is a natural downward shift in the position of skin tissues that occurs with age. This often gives rise to folds in the face such as nasolabial folds, jowls or marionette lines.

SMAS Laxity
The SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System) is a deep, tough layer of fibromuscular tissue that provides firmness and lifting support to your face. When this layer loses its tension, the entire mid-to-lower face begins to migrate downwards, creating what we commonly recognize as jowls or a "heavy" neck.

The Aftercare
We map your face with ultrasound imaging to customize every pulse and determine the appropriate treatment heads to use. Ultherapy PRIME® has 3 different depths of treatment heads available - 4.5mm, 3.0mm and 1.5mm. Most people require a combination of 2-3 depths.
No precautions are required after an Ultherapy PRIME® treatment. You can return to your regular activities immediately. It is common to feel some muscle soreness and slight swelling initially but this will subside with time.

We always begin with a conversation about your goals and suitability for the Ultherapy PRIME® treatment.
Numbing cream will be applied on treatment areas. While the energy is deep, we prioritize your comfort throughout. Most patients feel a light prickling sensation, followed by a feeling of inner "tightness."
